I’m Kristi, and I’m genuinely glad you found your way here. Where We Dwell isn’t just a blog. It’s a rhythm. A mindset. A reminder that there’s beauty in the ordinary and freedom in staying rooted, even when your soul’s got a passport.
This space was born out of a life that doesn’t color inside the lines; homeschooling, working from home, raising a good-hearted kid, traveling on purpose, and anchoring it all in faith. It’s equal parts devotional and daydream, with enough grit to hold it all together.
Why Where We Dwell?
The name comes straight from Psalm 37:3–4 (NIV):
“Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.”
That word dwell…it’s everything. It means staying, resting, planting your feet in both the now and the eternal. Whether I’m baking as I gaze at the Smokie Mountains or wandering through the pages of good book, I want to dwell with intention. With presence. With joy.
Who I Am (In a Nutshell)
I grew up under the L.A. sun with the beach in my veins and hip hop in my ears. These days, I live in the soft hills of East Tennessee, where the seasons are real and so is the sweet tea. Somewhere between those two worlds, Where We Dwell took root…a space that holds both high heels and cowboy boots.
I’m a wife, a mother, and a homeschooler with a thing for books, cupcakes, and vintage hymns. I traded the corporate world for a slower, richer kind of hustle; one that fits around my family, not the other way around.
